JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Medical Assistant, Certified to perform a variety of routine duties in an ambulatory clinic to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform intake with patients to include vital signs, visit information, and other clinical information as indicated.
  • Assist providers with procedures such as IUD insertion, implantable insertion, biopsies, colposcopies, LEEP procedures, Endosee, and ultrasound examination. Set up instruments and equipment for specific procedures; hand instruments, supplies and equipment to examining provider.
  • Set up and clean examination room.  Chaperone gynecologic exams, procedures, and ultrasound examinations.
  • Perform tasks such as set up for clinical procedures, high level disinfection & sterilization or other miscellaneous appropriate tasks within scope of practic.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, schedule patient appointments and prepare related records.
  • Maintain work area in clean an orderly condition.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies in clinic.

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
  • High school or GED graduation required.
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.
  • BLS required
